Bellingham is a town in Norfolk County, Massachusetts, United States. The population was 16,332 at the 2010 census. The town sits on the southwestern fringe of Metropolitan Boston, along the rapidly growing "outer belt" that is Route 495.

Bellingham Town Commons

Bellingham’s most significant contribution was the part it played in the fight for religious liberty. Massachusetts is in debt to this Town and its early settlers who hold a prominent place in the annals of history, in their fight for equality and liberty, a half century before Lexington and Concord. The Town is 8 miles long, 2 miles wide at its South end and 3 miles wide at the North end with an area of 18.55 square miles. It is surrounded by 7 Mass towns and Woonsocket, RI to its South end.
